The things I have loved

Welcome to my weekly post where I look back over my week, generally with a cup of tea in hand and share with you the things I have loved. This week Lil G was by my side and has helped me to scroll through our pictures and choose our #littleloves. There are so many this week. It is going to be difficult to keep it short and sweet. Mainly because Lil G and I have enjoyed a week’s holibobs just the two of us, which has been just beautiful and full of lots of lovely little things which have made me smile.

So…

Read

Not much if I am honest, I have even stepped away from reading and writing on my blog and those I love for the first time. Mainly because I just wanted to indulge myself in some mummy and George time. I have however been reading through some crafty tutorials on Pinterest and from the @BettaLiving #KidsInTheKitchen activity list which has helped my to entertain Lil G on the rainy days this summer.

Watched

You won’t believe this ladies and I know it is still August but for some reason Lil G has demanded that the Christmas movies make an appearance … Eek! I can hear the shrieks now. So far we have enjoyed watching Curious George, A very Monkey Christmas, The Snowman & Snowdog and Mickey’s Twice upon a Christmas. It is going to be a long few months!

Wore

It has been lovely this week not having to think about my work wardrobe. I have been able to combine my dresses with tights. I do love my autumn wardrobe. It’s kinda hard saying goodbye to summer florals in August but sadly the good old British Weather has delighted us with autumn in August so here goes…

Heard

Nothing but the sound of my gorgeous boy having fun, his little voice, chattering away whether to me or his toys, his little laugh, the cheeky giggles.

I also heard a couple of very pushy mummy’s at the PR day we attended on Thursday. We went to the National Forest Adventure Farm and due to BBC Midlands being in attendance there were some parents whose children were given the opportunity to be on the little feature. Oh how they were fighting for the opportunity. Two children were left screaming. I just wanted run over and shake them, is it really worth your child getting so distressed for a 2 second shot on the news which may get cut! Eek.

Made

Let me share our creations with you. A combination of food and crafty things for your eyes this week lovely ladies…

And lastly

We have a rather busy weekend ahead. I have two girly nights ahead of me. Cocktails on Friday with a friend who sadly has fallen in the trap of not venturing out on a girls night since having her little boy. An outdoor concert on Saturday night with a group of friends to watch Kylie & Beyonce tribute acts at Trentham Gardens. On Sunday it is a family meal for my mother in-laws 70th birthday. She thinks it is just the family however I have rounded up some of her close friends. Fingers crossed she is happy about that! Eek.

Have a lovely weekend and week lovelies and I will see you on the other side.

  1. Wow, what a week. It sounds lovely. You must have loved your mini staycation with Lil G. Those nail colous are gorgeous. i think corals and pinks look fab on nails in the summer. But for Autumn I prefer dark reds and purples. I must admit, that I was quite excited to get my ankle boots out this week. Goodbye sandals. See you next summer. Hugs Mrs H xxxx #littleloves
