Me-Time, Our Time, Family Time : Little Loves

The days are long at the minute, and despite the lighter mornings and evenings I still long for time as Our Little Family. For my work from home days where I am able to walk Lil G to Kindergarten and back again. When I don’t need to rush off to catch a train leaving my baby snuggled under our quilt with his Daddy. For those brief minutes where we have the opportunity to connect, to hold hands, to be mummy and son. My two days working from home allow me to be the best version of being a full-time working mummy can be. It’s a difficult balance some days but on these two days I have it just right.

So let’s take a look at the little things we have loved this week…

Watched

Gone Girl starring Ben Affleck. Oh my goodness. Gripping. Frustrating. Heart Wrenching and Sickening all at the same time. A must watch. I didn’t blog or look at my phone for the duration of the movie. Mr H couldn’t quite believe his eyes.

Silent Witness. Do I need to say anything more. Nope. I didn’t think so. Love it.

Wore

My new obsession, my blazer. New brogues. Leopard print and fishnet tights to the office.

These days by Take That … I was a little dubious when they decided to stick as a trio. This song worked out just fine.

How do you like your eggs in the morning? Thank you Chris Evans of Radio 2. This song sticks in my head each morning. The only thing which makes it cuter is that it is the last thing Lil G sings to me on the days he drops me at the train station. Woohoo

Mr H has really been supporting my strict diet. He’s been helping me by finding alternative recipes and ways of making the plainer version of food a little more interesting. The Hairy Bikers Korma. Pulled Pork. Steak & Sweet Potato Chips. I can honestly say that they were all delicious. Take a look…

 

 

 

Ooh, we painted a tile and a Lion at a really lovely pottery painting cafe on our Mummy and George day. I didn’t realise that the girl helping us had picked up my phone and took a picture of us. I am so glad that she did.

And lastly…

Thank goodness it is Friday. Come 4pm I will be switching off for the weekend and I cannot wait. Lil G is growing up so quickly of late, that I dream only of our days together.

On Saturday Mr H and I are off out with friends for a curry, but get this, it will be tapas style. Apparently it’s the new rage. Oh yes, you heard that right, curry tapas!

The diet or should I say change of diet is really tough at the minute. I am finding it so hard. I just need to man up. Think of those summer days KA, you don’t want those bingo wings flapping around for a 4th year! Eek. Step away from the chocolate. From the bread. From the pasta. From the rice. From the crisps. From the krispy kremes. Cries.
