Arts & Crafts : Weekend Box Club

A few weeks ago we received a craft box through the post from the lovely team at Weekend Box Club. Instantly Lil G was engaged by the detailing on the box. The characters and the brightly coloured envelopes ready to be ripped open. Lil G loved them and I have to say I was impressed by the quality of the crafts and the fact that I didn’t have to go hunting around for additional bits & bobs. We could just get on with having some fun, some quality time together.

The service this lovely sites offers is either a fortnightly or monthly box of affordable creative fun for you and your little ones. Lil G was beyond excited about the prospect of having his own box delivered through our letterbox. I can imagine every child would be excited about this.

The idea is simple. These weekend boxes were designed to provide parents with activities to do with their children. As a full-time working parent I often struggle to find the time to think of creative ideas therefore a subscription ticks that box for me. Parenting wins!

How does it work? There are four different coloured envelopes all focusing on a different activity including; sensory exploration, healthy recipes, stickers and certificates and finally a craft kit. Once each activity is completed there is a little sticker! This may have been Lil G’s favourite part… Look mummy I did a good job.

Here is how we got on…

The box we were sent was of an Aztecs theme. I love that the theme changes, crafts are mixed up, only adding to the fun for little ones. Full instructions are provided for each activity along with pictures to follow which really helped Lil G who isn’t at reading age. As Mr Independent he really likes to take control so with a little guidance he followed the instructions and sadly I wasn’t allowed anywhere near! Very disappointing.

As a little thank you for reading this post you can pop over to The Weekend Box Club website and enter this code for a free box when signing up to the subscription KERRIANN237.

  1. These look great! We had tried them out about a year ago and the monsters were a little too small but may try again in the summer. thank you for sharing with #ToddlerApprovedTuesday

    • They really are, I know we should probably craft more with G but as he does this every day at Kindergarten I kind of think well is he missing much. He loved this box so much. And for how much it costs I would spend more on paper and glue let alone for individual activities. KA x
