At the beginning of the year I set about embarking on a new fitness regime which you can read all about here. And like any fashion conscious mama I turned to the internet to find myself some new training gear. Mr H as always set me a budget so I was having to be thrifty. There aren’t many things I watch the pennies on however as this fitness journey is a new thing Mr H was digging his heels! I was a little surprised by how the price of get fit clothes and footwear had risen. Maybe it is just my naivety or the fact that getting fit is more fashionable these days. My last get fit shop was back in 2009!
As I scrolled through Instagram I stumbled across Alex Steadman’s page The Frugality. I do love her fashion picks and find myself writing a list of the bits I need to look out for. Well, I came across these trainers from Matalan and within a few hours I had placed my order and was awaiting my click and collect to arrive.
They look and feel amazing and come in at a very reasonable £15. Steal! Three different styles too. I plan to get myself the black pair as well. If I am honest I never thought to look in Matalan and we have a huge store just down the road. When I popped in to collect my order I had a little nosey around and I was quite surprised as to how much of the range they had in store. Note to self!
A friend recommended that I try H&M for a pair of leggings and I am glad that I did. All colours, a great price and they fit really well. I quite like a vibrant legging. H&M have some really good options. I’m not one for the traditional gym clothes, everything tight and skinny. I prefer to feel comfy and relaxed in how I am dressed.
