When it comes to baking with Lil G it has to be in short sharp bursts and fun. It’s simple really. He is a 3.5 year old who quite frankly gets bored quickly if he isn’t playing superheroes. So when the weather turned on us on Mothering Sunday there was only one thing to do, make lunch of course!
Lil G is a fan of baking however he does like to be Mr Independent in the kitchen. Which can be tricky when there are lots of foods to measure out. So I give you THE most toddler friendly bake-at-home sets from the fabulous Sweet Pea Pantry. Perfect for storing in your cupboard for a rainy day or a play date. Quick and easy to follow instructions. Win, Win.
As Lil G can often be fussy, I am always conscious of him eating the right type of food. Sweet Pea Pantry have ensured just that with all of their mixes. Super foods for Super Kids. I stumbled across this on the Sweet Pea Pantry website … It’s kinda fabulous and having worked with the team a couple of teams now, it really is true.
Lil G decided he wanted PIZZA and rightly so. As he is getting a little older now, he quite likes setting up all the utensils and finding any additional ingredients from our cupboards. I just love the detail that goes into each package and perfect for a little one who is learning to read and self-help. Just look…
And this is how we got on…
As it was Mothers Day, Lil G was being a little cutie and wanted to make me a heart-shaped pizza. Oh yes, it was a heart melts kind of moment! With a little help he managed to cut out the shape and it tasted delicious. Next time I think we’ll make funny faces! Or, as Lil G suggested superhero shaped pizzas. Eek.
- Be sure to knead the bread for at least 5-minutes and if your toddler does most of it then you may need to take over and put some muscle into it!
- Be sure to leave the dough long enough to rise. We actually left ours for nearly 2-hours until it had doubled in size. You can find some extra tips over on the Sweet Pea Pantry website on how to Make the perfect pizza.
Do let me know what shapes you make out of your pizza dough!
