This week Lil G and I have been on our holibobs. We enjoyed egg-stra days together as a family at Easter which were just wonderful. For four days we literally didn’t leave each others side. We closed the door on visitors and well, just enjoyed time together, to re-group. To relax. To love.
We have been blessed by the weather, which has allowed for some pretty special time together. We’ve spent long, lazy days wandering around in the sun. We’ve eaten ice cream. I do love my Mummy and George days.
Yesterday we were reunited with Mr H so today we visited the beach. The beach is our happy place. The sun, sea and sand really do make us smile. Lil G loves the beach as much as we do. It melts my heart. Simple pleasures. If only we lived closer to so it could be a weekly occurrence. For me, there is nothing more beautiful than sitting back and watching your boys play. To hear them laugh. To watch them be father and son. Just perfect. Making memories. Just us.
Today was pretty dreamy. Full of love, laughter and precious time together as a family. If you live near or within driving distance to Lytham St Anne’s and haven’t yet visited then you must. We LOVE this beach. There is so much to do with the kids. You have the traditional family fun like paddling in the sea, building sand castles, riding a donkey and wandering down the pier. And then there is the gorgeous Beach Huts, the water sports fun, the kids fair, the HUGE bouncy slide and playground area. So much fun.
And don’t forget the fish & chips! Personally we love the chips from the Seafarers Takeaway. It’s a few minutes walk back to the high street but they really are the best. There is always a queue and we’ve never had a bad chip yet! You can eat in or out and they are cheaper than those served on the pier too!
Here are a few photo’s from Our Little Family day out…
If you ever want to ask a question on what to do, where to park, general advice about Lytham then do take a look at the Visit St Annes Tourist Facebook Page and the twitter account also. They are packed with great info and very responsive. So, with only 3 more days of our Easter Holibobs left I must get off to bed and get some well earned rest. After a busy few days we have decided that tomorrow will be a quieter day. It’s a Mummy and George day again. Yay. I do love my boy and if I’m honest I treasure my days where it is just us. Ssshhhh don’t tell Mr H. Does that make me a bad person? A bad wife? A bad mum? I do hope not. KA x

You’re so right honey. One on one days are pretty special. I worked 4 days for the first 6 months after I went back to work and I really miss that one day. x
