Life’s A Beach…

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside. Oh we do like to be beside the sea.  Our Favourite Place. And so we had ourselves a little adventure. One day. Three beaches. Three stories to tell. Three sets of memories.

I’d like to live at the beach mummy were the words that filled the air as we made our way down the row of painted houses. Tenby really is beautiful. Such a lovely thought and right at the perfect moment. Everywhere just looked so beautiful. Mr H laughs at my obsession with painted houses. Who doesn’t love them? Who wouldn’t want to live in between a rainbow? One day kid, mummy and daddy would like that too.

There’s something quite magical about the beach. The sea air. That feeling of sand in your toes. The smell of fish & chips. The feeling of calm as you approach the sea crashing against the sea bed. The peaceful nature of nothing but the blue ocean in front of you. Your troubles washing away. I believe that’s what they call serenity.

It is Our Little Family’s happy place. Our favourite place. Visiting the beach has become one of our Ordinary Moments. Whether Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter there is an adventure to be had. Whether it’s collecting shells, building sand castles, choosing which ice cream flavour to have, flying a kite, eating fish & chips or investigating caves. So much fun. So many memories. On our recent holiday to Bluestone Wales, Pembrokeshire we stumbled across three beautiful beaches. We had such a wonderful time visiting these little drops of heaven, I just had to share them with you. Beware, there are a lot of photo’s coming…

And lastly the divine Barafundle Bay, backed by dunes and pine trees. It was like something plucked out of a movie. We spent our honeymoon in Thailand and honestly Barafundle Bay is as stunning as Maya Bay. So peaceful. We arrived around 6pm and oh my was it beautiful. We had the beach to ourselves. It was the perfect way to spend our last night in Wales.

I won’t lie we were a little sad walking away from Barafundle Bay. It was just so beautiful. I was mesmerised by the views. We all were. We smiled a lot. We laughed a lot. We created memories. Making footprints in the sand was a favourite of Lil G’s. He makes me so proud.

Where is your happy place?

I’m with you all the way, my favourite place is the beach too, in fact the little cove we visited today really reminds me of Barafundle Bay, it was our second beach visit this week as the kids also do surf club after school. there is something so relaxing about the beach that enables me to put life on hold and enjoy family time. Sounds like it has a similar effect for you. gorgeous photos from your 3 beaches, a beautiful part of Wales. Thank you for sharing with me on Country Kids.

  3. Such beautiful photos lovely, we went to Wales last Summer and absolutely loved Tenby and Barafundle Bay, it is such a gorgeous part of the world. The coloured houses in Tenby are amazing and Barafundle Bay is like it’s not in the UK!

  4. Wow what stunning photos and memories, we live only 20 mins from the coast and do not go as often as we should.
I am addicted to painted houses and so desperate to one day live in one.
That bay is the most beautiful I have ever seen, I want to one day visit after seeing your photos

  6. Beautiful photos! There’s something very special about a deserted beach. I’ve never been to Tenby, but it’s somewhere I always think I should visit.
