A beautiful friendship

Just look at these two…

They have the most beautiful of friendships. Even from the first day they met, our furry baby has watched over our gorgeous boy. I watch them each morning stand in our bedroom window, looking out at the people walking by and well just being together. Lil G always offers Alfie a huge kiss and cuddle as we leave the house. It is so sweet. We always hoped that this would be the case, but never imagined how beautiful it would be to watch their relationship grow. Continue reading

Strawberry Picking {Living Arrows}

Welcome to this week’s Living Arrows.

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. I’m sure I said this in my last post but I do love that sentence, and so true. We have such a huge responsibility to set them off on the right path don’t we?

This time last week we were enjoying our last day on the park at Disneyland Paris and if truth be told I was a little worried that this weekend would be a disappointment. That it wouldn’t live up to the wonderful time we had just a few days before. And then we decided to go strawberry picking at a local farm and what fun we had. Our first time too.

Our Little Superhero {Living Arrows}

Welcome to this week’s Living Arrows.

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. I love that sentence, and so true.

As week’s go, this is a BIG one for Our Little Family. Our gorgeous boy turns 4 years old on Friday and to celebrate we are surprising him with a trip to DisneyLand Paris. We fly Thursday morning. Eek. Having spent a day away from our Lil G on Saturday it seemed like he had grown so much over night. Maybe it is his new hair cut or quite simply that he is growing up. We are so proud of him. As today is the only day that he will be going to Kindergarten this week, they are throwing him a little birthday party. And in true Lil G style he requested that his friends dress up as Superheroes.

We had actually added a couple of new superhero suits (as he calls them) to his birthday box and as a little surprise yesterday we let him open one in preparation for his party. It had to be Thor.

As I waved goodbye to our little superhero this morning it was with a heavy heart. Sad that I can’t be there tonight to pick him up to see how his special day has been. Emotional that this week my boy takes that next step. Getting that little bit closer to becoming a school boy. Time really has flown. I’m excited by his little journey but this year it really does seem to be hitting me that little bit harder. So much will change when his educational journey begins in September. The routine we have known since he was 8-months old. So much change.

I know that I am bias, but oh my goodness he is one handsome little Thor. Have a beautiful day kid.

Living Arrows {Beach Fun}

One boy, his bucket, a sun hat and a football. Happy days.

A little trip to the seaside to blow away the cobwebs.

We love you Tenby.

Living Arrows {Bouncy Pillow}

FullSizeRender (50)

For this week’s #LivingArrows post I wanted to share with you a photo from our little adventure to Amerton Farm on Sunday. We love the outdoor area here. Mr H and Lil G love bouncing on this pillow. I’m not sure who’s the bigger kid if truth be told! And if you’re lucky you may just get it all to yourself for a few moments in the quieter months.

I just love Lil G’s enthusiasm and excitement at bouncing away. The only downside is that our garden isn’t quite big enough and sadly we had to say goodbye which as I am sure you can imagine ended in a rather nasty tantrum followed by a lot of tears!

Photo Of The Week

IMG_0591 9Apr

You may have noticed from my Instagram feed and Facebook page that we have been on our Easter Holibobs this week. We have had a pretty dreamy week together and no more so than on this day when we visited the beach. We absolutely love the beach and always find ourselves heading to the same one each time. Lytham St Annes.

I still can’t quite decide which of these photo’s is my favourite. The 1st one is thoughtful and poised, the second is playful and fun! I love how sharp the second one is given that he was moving!

Which one is your favourite?

Living Arrows {Farmer George}

 Such a beautiful day we have had at Stockley Farm Park today. As it’s a working farm you are treated to hands on experiences every 30 minutes. Perfect for keeping little ones entertained.

It is safe to say that Lil G loved feeding the baby goats. And that is this week’s #livingarrows. We definitely made memories today. Apparently the second goat was super strong.

Living Arrows {Spring Walks}

 It has been a quiet week for us. The walk to Kindergarten on Friday was rather cute. Lil G, as you do decided to take Larry the Lion along for the walk. He rode on his shoulders for the whole journey and Lil G treated us both to a rendition of ‘Hi Ho, Hi Ho. It’s off to Kindy we go. With a shovel and a pick and a walking stick. Hi Ho, Hi Ho’.

 Here is this week’s {Living Arrows} photo…

Living Arrows {Childhood}

A stunning weekend of weather. It was so nice to ditch the woolly hats, gloves and winter coats. Just to feel the sun shining down on us and to wander around a local farm without shivering! Heavenly. This little one had oodles of fun.
