Welcome to todays #OOTD post. Well actually it’s my favourite outfit from the weekend.
Aaah summer. Oh how I long to be in your arms. Thankfully the sun popped his hat on this weekend which came just at the right time. I was sent this lovely Kimono and set the task of coming up with some outfit ideas as inspiration for you lovely lot. AKA my readers. Well, there is nothing quite like a sunny day to get those ideas flowing. I love nothing more than dressing for summer. It just feels easier, only one or two items needed to make an outfit. Everywhere you look you’ll find an array of denim and that’s no different to my wardrobe this year. Denim has been my must have item. I am a little bit obsessed. I have never loved denim so much. Whether it is a midi skirt, a skater style dress, a denim shirt, dungarees, boyfriend style jeans, skinny jeans and let’s not forget the shirt dress! I am in LOVE with denim this year.
Yes! I have finally found a pair of the infamous dungarees which have been flooding our Instagram feeds. Everyone is wearing dungarees. I have found a pair that feel so comfortable but also leave me feeling just a little bit cool! Lil G tells me I like good. I’ll take that. Praise from my mini fashionista is praise to be proud of.
Hello, for this week’s Street Style Sunday post I thought I would introduce my new love, the denim midi skirt. Now if there is one length of skirt that I have always lusted after it is the midi. We have been having an affair for some time now. My wardrobe is fit to burst. Add to that, a denim version and oh my goodness you had me at hello! A must combination for this season. No wardrobe can be without the denim skirt, whether you have the legs for a mini or like me hide them behind a midi, you must invest. A perfect wardrobe update.
Tie-dye. It makes me think of hippies, peace and love. It makes me think of the 60’s and 70’s. Psychedelic times. I love bright colours. I love florals. I was always destined to adopt the tie-dye phenomena. Tie-dye makes me happy.
Are words necessary for this week’s post? It’s all about the shoes right? I am in LOVE with these lace-up block-heeled sandals. I have always loved heels however I rarely find a pair which are comfortable. I have found them. And what’s super, is that they transfer so well between day and night. I cannot wait to wear them in the evening.
Boho is a style I have always loved. What’s not to love about tousled hair, denims, ditsy prints, lace tops & fringing? I guess you could say we have Kate Moss & the gorgeous Sienna Miller to blame for Boho Chic. Sienna was definitely my inspiration. I’d probably say this was my look prior to Lil G arriving, since then my body hasn’t quite allowed for it all. I am in the process of changing that as really I have become a boho-lite over the last few years.
What with the festival season kicking off at Coachella I can’t help but dream of kimono’s and the rest. Some would say Coachella is the equivalent of Britain’s Glastonbury although as I watch the pictures unfold on Instagram & Twitter I would say it’s much more, well glamorous (perhaps the no rain and mud helps), completely out there in terms of art & styling, did you see the HUGE butterfly? Wow. And of course the attention it brings.
Well in a bid to relight my love for boho chic I have added a little blue/grey to my hair. I’m thinking a very pale pink may be in order next…
You may recall me featuring this Topshop Pelmet Skirt a few weeks ago. Back then it was very much a Winter look with black tights and brogues. Sophisticated. Whereas this time I thought I would opt for the sexy look and pair it with a leather jacket, Chelsea Boots and skin colour tights (as I am not quite brave enough to let the tights go just yet).
For this week’s Street Style Sunday post I thought I would give you a peak inside the wardrobe of a little fashionista. AKA Lil G.
As someone who loves Fashion, as does Mr H it really makes us smile when we see how much Lil G loves to shop for new clothes. His excitement for when a new parcel of clothes or trainers arrived is something else! He seems to know when he is growing out of clothes too. Eek. I can see that becoming expensive!
Each morning he is beyond excited to pick out his clothes. To the point where anything we suggest is often disregarded. Mmmmm not today. I like this, and this … Oh and these trainers today. Perfect. He has even taken to looking at himself in the mirror and asking… does this look good? He’s such a character.
That is exactly how it went yesterday. Choosing his own clothes, pairing trainers with his sweaters and t-shirts. It’s getting rather technical actually.
