Towards the end of last year I stumbled across this beautiful little weekly portrait project. The project takes it’s name from the passage by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”.
It truly is a beautiful idea and I am delighted to be joining in this year, from week 1! I never always struggled joining in a project part way through. I prefer to follow a journey and simply cannot wait to look back on all the images in December! But first we need to have some fun creating them.
Here is this week’s #LivingArrows image…
If you would like to see all the others contributing to this portrait project then do pop over to Hayley’s blog Shutterflies…
Gorgeous photo!! Who doesn’t love playing on the beach with a ball? No matter what the weather 🙂

Beautiful KA, he is such an expressive little boy! I love what you said about looking back at the end of the year – “But first we need to have some fun creating them.” Yes! So excited and so pleased to have you joining in x

I’m looking forward to doing the whole year too, I joined late last year and missed a few weeks but I’m in it for the year this time! I love G’s face on this one, it is just perfect when you capture them when they are obviously having so much fun!

Ahh I love the living arrows project, love seeing how all the little ones change throughout the year. I did it for a whole year last year and it’s great to look back at them all. It really does show how much they just each week at a young age. This is adorable. Look forward to all your photos this year too lovely. #lilvingarrows

Thank you so much my lovely, it is an exciting project, very excited. Have to be careful not to link to too many as its over whelming with all the commenting. With working full time I have to then write in the evenings, it’s tough! I wouldn’t change it of course x

I did that last year and had a linky every single day and couldn’t keep up with it all. What I did was do a post that ties in with two or three linkys it’s easier and most the time you comment on one linky it’s the same on other linkys so you don’t have to do as much commenting. My new year’s (word) is balance as I didn’t want to make resolutions. Trying to put it all together and not do too much. Love it but we all need more time in the day don’t we? lol
