VAX Air Cordless Review

What with a dog that loses hair simply by breathing, a four-year old that leaves crumbs, food and dirt with each footstep and of course two adults in the house we often find ourselves hovering twice a day. I say we, what I actually meant to say is that Mr H hoovers twice a day! When I was offered the opportunity to review and keep a VAX Air Cordless Lift Vacuum Cleaner Mr H jumped for glee. You see he’s a clean freak, so to him this was the one! The review for him to get excited about. Oh to be as passionate about cleaning as he is!

#OOTD : The Little Sparkly Kimono

Welcome to todays #OOTD post. Well actually it’s my favourite outfit from the weekend.

Aaah summer. Oh how I long to be in your arms. Thankfully the sun popped his hat on this weekend which came just at the right time. I was sent this lovely Kimono and set the task of coming up with some outfit ideas as inspiration for you lovely lot. AKA my readers. Well, there is nothing quite like a sunny day to get those ideas flowing. I love nothing more than dressing for summer. It just feels easier, only one or two items needed to make an outfit.

No matter how enjoyable busy weekends are I always find myself craving after a weekend or at least a day where time stands still. Where life as our little family is the focus of all my attention. No interruptions, no knock at the door with unexpected guests (dare I say unwanted) looking for a cup of tea and to disrupt the playroom. No birthday parties to attend, no deadlines to hit. Just us.

My Sunday Photo {A beautiful walkway}

I love stumbling across a peaceful spot. We visited Trentham Gardens yesterday and it was so lovely to see the Italian Gardens in full bloom. As we made our way out we found ourselves wandering down this rather beautiful walkway. What made it even more beautiful was that it was lined with flowers. Such vibrant colours which left me feeling rather dreamy. Mr H still doesn’t quite understand why I love them so but they do make me smile.

#OOTD : Chalk it up

Finally I plucked up the courage to add a little a lot of pink to my hair. Just for the weekend! A little flirty colour to mix things up a little before returning to little old me. That’s the magic of chalk, it washes right out! For me, my hair is just as much a part of my outfit as my clothes.

Confessions of a shopaholic…

Ok. You got me. I like to treat myself. Who doesn’t? There’s no hiding that I love to shop. I try to hide it however Mr H is like some secret detective sniffing out each new purchase. Mission impossible. Like me he has a passion for fashion and knows when something is new. I’ve tried hiding the bags, the receipts and even hanging bits up and mixing them up with older items. And then I am quickly reminded that it is Mr H who manages the money! Eek. Do I remind you of someone…

Cocktails, Lie ins and Double Espressos #LittleLoves

I won’t lie this week has been fuelled by caffeine, whether tea, coffee or Frappuccino I may have drank excessively. Today is my work from home day and I am delighted. Walking Lil G to Kindergarten on a Friday has to be one of my favourite times of the week. Thank goodness for flexible working. And after such a busy weekend, and week in the office I am really looking forward to doing not much at all this weekend. Time spent with my boys. Happy days.

They say love is a pretty powerful drug. It draws you in. Leaving you suspended in time. With hopes and dreams that leave you reaching for the stars. For me that is this wonderful world of blogging. If only everyone understood and stopped judging me.

A beautiful friendship

Just look at these two…

They have the most beautiful of friendships. Even from the first day they met, our furry baby has watched over our gorgeous boy. I watch them each morning stand in our bedroom window, looking out at the people walking by and well just being together. Lil G always offers Alfie a huge kiss and cuddle as we leave the house. It is so sweet. We always hoped that this would be the case, but never imagined how beautiful it would be to watch their relationship grow.

Street Style Sunday {Denim Shirt Dress}

 Welcome to this week’s Street Style Sunday post.

Everywhere you look you’ll find an array of denim and that’s no different to my wardrobe this year. Denim has been my must have item. I am a little bit obsessed. I have never loved denim so much. Whether it is a midi skirt, a skater style dress, a denim shirt, dungarees, boyfriend style jeans, skinny jeans and let’s not forget the shirt dress! I am in LOVE with denim this year.
