Street Style Sunday {Lil G’s Style}
For this week’s Street Style Sunday post I thought I would give you a peak inside the wardrobe of a little fashionista. AKA Lil G.
As someone who loves Fashion, as does Mr H it really makes us smile when we see how much Lil G loves to shop for new clothes. His excitement for when a new parcel of clothes or trainers arrived is something else! He seems to know when he is growing out of clothes too. Eek. I can see that becoming expensive!
Each morning he is beyond excited to pick out his clothes. To the point where anything we suggest is often disregarded. Mmmmm not today. I like this, and this … Oh and these trainers today. Perfect. He has even taken to looking at himself in the mirror and asking… does this look good? He’s such a character.
That is exactly how it went yesterday. Choosing his own clothes, pairing trainers with his sweaters and t-shirts. It’s getting rather technical actually.

For this week’s #StreetStyleSunday post I thought I would treat you to a little mini style. Lil G, my nearly 4-year old boy is definitely on the road to being a little fashionista. For as long as I can remember he has loved shoes, trainers, all footwear actually. Always so excited when a new box has arrived. Are they for me? WOW new shoes, what can I wear them with? I love his enthusiasm. He has an incredible eye for what works and this was his latest selection…

This week’s Street Style Sunday post goes to my little boy and much bigger boy. This little fella loves to create his own style. Choosing his clothes, putting outfits together. Always keen to choose his footwear. Just like his Daddy he LOVES his footwear and his hats.

For this weeks post I thought I would share with you my date night outfit. A relaxed evening. A relaxed outfit. I will admit that it is all about the accessories this weekend! I am in love with the bag. It was a little gift from my gorgeous Lil G on my birthday.
Every season has its colours and for me this outfit has winter written all over it. Browns, Blacks, Greens, Golds and Reds. Every girl should have a tweed blazer.

My Style of the Moment {Boyfriend}
Introducing my first ‘My Style’ post of 2015. As I have been on holiday from work for the last two weeks I have really enjoyed closing the door on my work wardrobe and dressing up so to speak each day. I love a pj day as much as the next person but for me there is nothing more enjoyable than opening the doors of my dressing room and thinking ‘what shall I wear today?’.
I picture myself in a Carrie AKA Sex and The City type dressing room, you know the one, from the original SATC … not the pimped up version Big had made. Mine is definitely more like the wardrobe in her first apartment. Continue reading
Winter Essentials for a Toddler Boy
As someone who loves to shop, seek out something a little different and try something new, I thought I would share with you my favourite winter picks for a toddler boys wardrobe AKA Lil G.
I just love winter knits, Grandad collars, jumpers with elbow patches or applique and a cute hat and scarf!
At this time of year it’s easy to fill a little boys wardrobe with a blue, a grey and in general dark tones. Don’t get me wrong Lil G has blue and grey in his wardrobe but what I love to do is to pair these plain colours with a brighter print. Or as the professionals say; A Pop of Colour!
As Lil G is blessed with pale skin, these colours alone really do nothing for him. He has my colouring. I prefer to say we resemble what is known as an English Rose complexion however most would say we’re just pale. Colour suits him.
My advice to you at this time of year is to be brave. Don’t be afraid to inject some colour into their outfits. Whether it be a coat, a jumper or a pair of shoes. Warm those outfits up with some of my top picks for a winter wardrobe on a toddler boy…

The Vintage Teacup Club thanks to a recommendation from the lovely Emma over @LittleWoodLife in one of her #LittleLoves. After only 2 days, I already know that it is my kind of book. Easy reading. And it is certainly helping me to switch off of an evening on the train home.
I have also been reading several blogs these last two weeks, I’m trying to expand my reading but also spread the word about ‘Life As Our Little Family’ … During my travels I was drawn to two blogs more than once. That would be Sian @pottymouthedmum and her ‘The newbie class’ posts and secondly Vicki @HonestMummy. Both ladies have been sharing their wisdom recently which I personally have found to be very helpful *Thank you*.

A lot of football. I have Germany in the office sweepstake, you can therefore imagine my delight as I watched the team take Brazil 7-1 on Tuesday night! Fingers crossed for Sunday!
A new series ‘Honourable Woman’ with the beautiful Maggie Gyllenhaal. Wow. Based on the first episode I would recommend it. Did you watch it?

And sadness, it is exactly 2-months since our close friend, passed away at the age of 34 to the evil that is cancer. Carpe diem friends. You really do not know when your time is up.

I am in the throws of putting together my latest post over on the Up All Hours parenting website on competitive spirit in a toddler. Sadly Lil G’s Sports Day never did happen last week, the rain washed away my hopes of watching his first race however the sun is meant to shine it’s heart out today which has made me smile. A lot. I would be delighted if you would pop over and have a read of it, it should be live by Monday.
I have 3 exciting reviews coming to my blog in the coming weeks, all centred around Lil G of course. #KidsInTheKitchen with @BettaLiving, baking with @SweetPeaPantry and Lil G’s radio flyer trailer from @GLTCo.
We’ve also just been approached by the Guardian to take part in an exciting ‘National Trust’ project so watch this space.
Some of you may have noticed that I have not only changed the name of my blog in recent weeks but the design too. I feel much happier and certainly seemed to have been in Blog Love this week.
